The Advantage of Using a General Agent           

A quality, full-service General Agency can provide you with a broad spectrum of value added services—generally at no cost to you.  Since the General Agent is compensated by the carriers with overrides you are normally paid the full broker commission.

By using a G.A. you are effectively adding another layer of administrative help to support you in the sales, enrollment, and service process.  Naturally this reduces your overall labor cost and ultimately your cost of sale—not to mention your servicing costs.  The G.A. should be intimately familiar with the carriers’ quoting, proposal, underwriting, and enrollment procedures, which improves your efficiency and tends to reduce your liability.
